|TRIP DURATION||2 Days|
|DEPARTURE TIME||Please arrive at least 2 hours before departure.|
From your lodge’s balcony, you may see elephants, rhinos, leopards, bushbuck, bongos, and forest hogs satisfy their thirst at a nearby waterhole.
Cross the Kenyan Highlands, passing past pineapple and coffee farms on your way to Aberdare Country Club for lunch. Transfer into Aberdare National Park in the afternoon and to The Ark Lodge in the evening for bird watching and nighttime floodlit game viewing from the lodge observation decks. Ark House, located in the heart of the Aberdare National Park, is a one-of-a-kind tree lodge with a balcony that overlooks a floodlit waterhole and saltlick, providing unobstructed views of the wildlife that frequents the waterhole. Elephants, rhinoceroses, leopards, bushbucks, and the rare bongo and giant forest hog have all been seen.
Each of the 60 guest rooms has an en-suite bathroom. To keep the nighttime and morning chill at bay, all cabins include private bathrooms with showers and are nicely equipped with bedside lights and carpeted flooring. The Ark Tree Lodge is constructed with ‘decks’ from which many balconies and lounges give excellent vantage points for game viewing, resembling and named after Noah’s Ark. A ground-level bunker offers fantastic picture possibilities and brings you closer to the wildlife than you may expect. The Ark Lodge or Treetops Lodge is where you’ll be staying for dinner and the night.
Return to the base hotel after breakfast. Reconnect with your driver for a drive back to Nairobi, where the trip concludes shortly before noon.
