Itinerary
Day 01: Nairobi – Samburu Game Reserve
Distance: 360 kilometers (5 hrs., 30 min.) To get to Samburu National Reserve, drive north through sisal and pineapple plantations to the northern border district. Afternoon game drive in this reserve known for its unique wildlife viewing opportunities. LD at Samburu Sopa Lodge for dinner and sleep.
Day 02: Samburu Game Reserve
A full day of wildlife watching drives in this semi-arid park with a stunning vista of the Mathews Range in the background. The Uaso Nyiro river, which runs through the park, offers evergreen foliage for the park’s endangered gerenuk, Grevy zebra, and reticulated giraffe. All meals and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge, B, L,D.
Day 03: Samburu Game Reserve – Nairobi
Distance: 360 km (5 hrs, 30 min.). After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi, B.
